Education Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, thyroid, and other diagnostic scans as required).
  • Interpret ultrasound findings and prepare accurate and timely reports for referring clinicians.
  • Ensure proper documentation and patient record management per facility protocols.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure safety, hygiene, and calibration standards.
  • Support clinicians in diagnosis and treatment planning based on imaging findings.
  • Provide patient counseling and explanations of procedures while maintaining privacy.
  • Participate in case discussions, morbidity meetings, and CME sessions.
  • Comply with infection prevention and control (IPC) measures and clinical protocols.
  • Network with local government authorities, NGOs/INGOs, and stakeholders as required (approx. 5% of time).
  • Attend trainings, keep workstation tidy, submit periodic reports, and attend meetings as directed.
