Job Responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end cost models from EXW/FOB to warehouse including freight, insurance, landing charges, FX & spread, Bangladesh import taxes (CD, RD, SD, VAT, ATV, AIT), port/C&F, demurrage, inland transport, DGDA/Drug NOC and regulatory fees.
  • Convert shipment-level costs into precise unit landed cost (including wastage/shortage) and maintain standard cost per SKU.
  • Allocate overheads (warehouse, staff, admin, utilities, marketing, depreciation, last-mile) into unit cost using activity-based or volume drivers.
  • Run post-costing after quotations/POs and after VAT/tax deductions to confirm actual gross margin vs target.
  • Produce price recommendations (ex-VAT & VAT-inclusive) and perform backward costing to validate margins for tenders/hospital quotes.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts for sales, gross margin, opex, cash and inventory (90/180/360 days).
  • Build liquidation timelines (sell-through velocity, collection days, cash burn) and import allocation plans by margin & working-capital impact.
  • Handle LC lifecycle (opening, usance/sight, advising/SWIFT, discrepancy management), and back-to-back LCs where applicable.
  • Prepare customs clearance packs and liaise with C&F and customs; maintain customs records and tariff classification expertise.
  • Ensure VAT & TAX compliance (NBR), Mushak 6.1–6.10, withholding/advance tax and timely returns.
  • Produce P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and perform bank reconciliation, AR/AP aging, supplier payment schedules.
  • Strengthen internal controls (3-way match, approval matrices, inventory controls) and support statutory & tax audits.
  • Own and improve costing/pricing model (Excel/Google Sheets/ERP) and automate with Power Query/Pivot and dashboards.
  • Train team members on cost discipline, documentation, and VAT/tax implications in quotes and invoices.
  • Oversee payroll & admin tasks as needed (attendance processing, salary & wages, OT, final settlements, statutory deductions).
