Job Responsibilities
- Conduct time & motion studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis to improve efficiency.
- Prepare and update SMV (Standard Minute Value), manpower requirements, and operation bulletins.
- Work closely with production & planning teams to ensure efficient line setup and workflow optimization.
- Analyze bottlenecks and recommend process improvements for higher productivity.
- Support in cost reduction initiatives through improved work methods and resource utilization.
- Ensure proper documentation of IE reports, productivity analysis, and operational KPIs.
- Train line supervisors & operators on best methods and workplace engineering practices.
- Collaborate with quality & maintenance teams to maintain smooth production flow.
- Identify skill gaps and suggest training for multi-skilling and skill upgrading.

Primitek Group is seeking a skilled and proactive Deputy Manager / Manager - Industrial & Production Engineer (IPE) to join our operations team. Implement and evaluate Kaizen projects across production processes; lead 5S, Lean and Continuous Improvement activities. Implement waste management systems and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues. Required skills and attributes for this job: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial & Production Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments (FMCG, Plastics/Polymer, Packaging, Garment accessories preferred). Hands-on experience with IE tools: time & motion, SMV calculation, line balancing and capacity planning. Proficiency in MS Excel, IE software and performance reporting tools. Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making skills and ability to present clear IE reports and KPIs. Experience implementing Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives. Good training and communication skills to coach supervisors and operators. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple production lines and meet production deadlines.
