Job Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth functionality of housekeeping, physical environment unit and laundry department with high quality standards.
- Supervise in-charges and supervisors to ensure proper performance.
- Ensure cleaning services for patient rooms, offices, corridors, lobbies, elevators, mosque, toilets, car parking and entrances.
- Plan, coordinate, prepare rosters and manage leave for housekeeping and related teams.
- Coordinate with supervisors and follow up on daily activities.
- Manage linen distribution in coordination with laundry, purchase and stores.
- Develop, implement and review policies and procedures for housekeeping, laundry, waste management and infection control.
- Evaluate and manage vendor contracts and supplier performance.
- Arrange logistics for CMEs, trainings and seminars.
- Maintain comprehensive records of housekeeping services and respond to departmental requirements.
- Coordinate with EME for civil, electrical, mechanical, sanitary and HVAC issues.
- Perform administrative tasks assigned by management.

Star Line Specialized Hospital is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Manager - Housekeeping (Hospitality Department) to lead and oversee housekeeping, laundry and physical environment operations. This is an important job within the company and will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, patient comfort, infection control and operational efficiency. This circular invites qualified professionals who are passionate about service quality and continuous improvement.Overview: The Manager - Housekeeping will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising housekeeping and laundry activities, managing vendors and contractors, implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that all hospital areas remain clean, safe and functional. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational capability and a good understanding of modern housekeeping and infection control practices.Ensure smooth functionality of housekeeping, physical environment unit and laundry department with high quality standards across the hospital.Oversee in-charges and supervisors to ensure they perform their duties effectively and maintain accountability.Ensure cleaning services for patient rooms, offices, doctors' rooms, corridors, lobbies, elevators, conference rooms, mosque, general toilets, car parking and all entrance areas are performed by outsourced cleaning staff to hospital standards.Plan, coordinate and prepare rosters, manage leave and daily deployment for housekeeping, physical environment, cleaning and infection control teams.Coordinate activities with unit in-charges and supervisors and follow up on daily tasks and performance indicators.Ensure timely and tidy linen distribution to all floors in coordination with laundry, purchase and stores departments.Support continuous improvement initiatives in housekeeping, including training, SOP updates and process reviews.Maintain furniture, fixtures and equipment of the hospital in proper working order and coordinate repairs with EME (Electrical, Mechanical & Engineering) department.Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures for housekeeping, laundry, cleaning, waste management, infection control and physical environment.Examine and re-evaluate vendor contracts; evaluate supplier and contractor performance related to housekeeping, cleaning, waste management and laundry services.Arrange seating and logistics for CMEs, training sessions and seminars in coordination with relevant departments.Maintain comprehensive records of housekeeping services and related documentation.Address housekeeping requests from other departments promptly and with priority.Carry out other administrative tasks assigned by management.Required Qualifications & Education:Bachelor degree in any discipline (preferable in hotel management).Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.Experience & Age:Minimum 10 years professional experience, preferably within hospital or hospitality industry environments.Experience supervising housekeeping, laundry operations, vendor management and infection control practices.Age range: 30 to 45 years.Skills & Competencies:Proven leadership and team management skills with ability to manage supervisors and outsourced staff.Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills and confident personality.Strong interpersonal, negotiation and emotional intelligence to build relationships at all levels of the company.Good command of MS Excel and MS Word for reporting and documentation.Knowledge of housekeeping trends, infection control measures and modern laundry operations.Ability to plan, prioritize, and ensure timely response to housekeeping requirements.Other Benefits & Terms:Salary: Negotiable.Annual salary review.Festival allowance: 2 per year.Other benefits as per company rules.How to apply: Interested candidates in Bangladesh should apply by sending their CV to the email provided below.
