Overview: Z. H. Sikder University of Science & Technology (ZHSUST) invites applications for a full-time Professor or Associate Professor in the Department of Law. You will join a growing company committed to academic excellence, with a large campus and scope for curriculum development, research, and leadership in legal education.Key responsibilities:Teach undergraduate and graduate law courses across a broad range of subjects; design and deliver curricula that reflect contemporary legal developments.Develop new courses and update existing offerings in alignment with departmental goals and accreditation standards.Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, including dissertation/thesis supervision.Conduct high-quality, publishable research and contribute to peer-reviewed journals; meet publication thresholds for the respective rank.Engage in university service such as committee membership, program development, and assessment activities.Participate in outreach, community engagement, and activities that enhance the university's reputation and impact.Perform other duties as assigned by the department or university administration.Required education and publications:PhD in Law and an LLB (Honours) from a reputed university.For Professor: At least 15 high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals. Of these, 7 must have been published during the applicant’s tenure as an Associate Professor, with the applicant as first author for at least 5 of those 7.For Associate Professor: At least 7 high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals. Of these, 5 must have been published during the applicant’s tenure as an Assistant Professor, with the applicant as first author for at least 3 of those 5.Experience and eligibility:For Professor: Minimum 14 years of teaching/academic experience including at least 5 years as an Associate Professor.For Associate Professor: Minimum 12 years of teaching/academic experience including at least 4 years as an Assistant Professor.Experience in university teaching, research supervision, and academic administration is highly desirable.
