Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Review and approve all incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure all payments are processed timely and accurately, including handling vendor inquiries and resolving any payment issues.
- Coordinate with vendors to negotiate payment terms and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounts payable reports.
- Monitor and manage cash flow by forecasting and controlling payment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies for accounts payable functions.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of accounts payable-related journal entries.
- Maintain and update vendor information in the accounting system.
- Train and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments (Customer Service, Sales) to ensure seamless operations and accurate reporting.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
