Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive MEAL strategies, frameworks, indicators and results frameworks aligned with organisational goals and donor requirements.
- Design project-specific MEAL plans, indicators, results frameworks and data collection tools.
- Lead rollout, maintenance and oversight of monitoring systems to track project progress, outputs and outcomes.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to verify activities, gather data and assess progress against targets.
- Oversee qualitative and quantitative data collection processes ensuring data quality, completeness and reliability.
- Analyse monitoring and evaluation data to identify trends, gaps, risks and opportunities for programme improvement.
- Plan and conduct midline, endline and periodic evaluations to assess programme impact and effectiveness.
- Prepare high-quality MEAL reports for internal management, donors and external partners.
- Establish accountability systems including feedback and complaint mechanisms and ensure beneficiary voices inform programming.
- Facilitate reflection sessions, learning workshops and after-action reviews to promote evidence-based decision-making.
- Assess capacity-building needs and provide training, mentoring and technical assistance on MEAL methodologies.
- Implement data quality assurance processes including validation, verification and audits.
- Support compliance with donor MEAL requirements and contribute MEAL inputs for proposal development.
