Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly withholding tax returns and annual tax returns per Bangladesh Income Tax Act 2023.
- Ensure deduction and deposit of tax at source (TDS) for suppliers, contractors, employees and service providers; maintain challans and tax registers.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns (Mushak:9.1) and manage VAT deduction at source (VDS) including Mushak:6.6 certificates.
- Maintain VAT documentation (Mushak:6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.7, 6.8) and prepare input-output coefficients (Mushak:4.3) where applicable.
- Reconcile tax and VAT balances; prepare tax forecasts, provisions and compute taxable income.
- Coordinate with auditors during tax/VAT audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
- Support finance team during month-end closing and statutory audits and prepare management reports (payable summary, return filing tracker, reconciliation statements).
- Monitor and implement changes in tax and VAT laws; perform other tasks assigned by management.

Strong reconciliation, reporting and documentation skills. Good command of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Attention to detail, ability to meet statutory deadlines and strong ethical standards. Educational & experience requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (BBA in Accounting preferred). CA-CC will be considered an added advantage. Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in taxation and VAT operations, preferably in corporate or manufacturing (FMCG/chemical) sectors. Working conditions and additional details: Workplace: Office (Meghna Industrial Economic Zone, Plot 32-33 Tipordi, Mograpara, Sonargaon, Narayanganj).
