Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain day-to-day accounts related to import consignments and inventory.
  • Prepare and manage vouchers, cash books, ledgers and bank records.
  • Maintain accurate accounting and stock records consignment-wise, client-wise and product-wise.
  • Monitor and record inward and outward stock movements and perform stock reconciliation.
  • Prepare and maintain import and shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, B/L, L/C related papers).
  • Coordinate with suppliers, banks, C&F agents, transporters and internal teams.
  • Track import shipments and ensure timely clearance and delivery.
  • Prepare regular accounts, stock and import reports for management.
  • Support process improvements for inventory control and reporting.

Arrow Bangla Cargo Service & Saika Exclusive is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant & Stock Management professional to join our operations team in Dhaka. Key responsibilities: Maintain day-to-day accounts related to import consignments and inventory, ensuring accurate and timely accounting entries. Prepare and manage vouchers, cash books, ledgers and bank records, and ensure reconciliations are done routinely. Keep accurate accounting and stock records consignment-wise, client-wise and product-wise. Monitor and record both inward and outward stock movements, perform stock reconciliation, and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and maintain import and shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), and L/C-related paperwork. Coordinate with suppliers, banks, C&F agents, transporters, and internal teams to support timely clearance and delivery. Track import shipments, ensure timely clearance, and oversee delivery coordination. Prepare regular accounts, stock and import reports for management review and decision making. Support process improvements in inventory control, reporting, and documentation procedures. Required qualifications & education: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting OR Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting OR Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting Experience & background: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (typical range 4 to 6 years) in accounting and inventory within trading, import/export, clearing & forwarding (C&F) companies, warehouse/inventory, or supply chain functions. Practical exposure to import procedures, trade documentation, and coordination with banks, customs agents and transporters. Skills & competencies: Strong accounting data entry accuracy and familiarity with accounting software. Knowledge of accounts and finance, cost & inventory management, and finance/banking interfaces. Monitoring and reporting skills, with a high level of competency in MS Excel, MS Office and email communication. Ability to handle multiple consignments simultaneously and maintain organized records. Strong leadership, supervisory and communication skills; a sincere, self-motivated and service-oriented attitude is expected.
