Job Responsibilities
- Lead technical activities for construction, rehabilitation and maintenance in mission projects according to MSF protocols.
- Conduct field/site assessments and feasibility studies for new works, rehabilitation or structural maintenance.
- Prepare designs, technical drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), project costing and tender documentation.
- Plan and manage installation of temporary, semi-permanent and permanent structures and supervise construction phases.
- Manage contractor selection, site supervision, quality control and cost/schedule management.
- Provide technical training and act as a technical referent for mission teams and technicians.
- Ensure documentation, filing and reporting of installation and maintenance activities; contribute to monthly construction reports.
- Assess local market for materials and suppliers, support procurement and contract management for construction activities.
- Apply equipment management procedures, use inventory tools (3A) and supervise repairs and maintenance decisions.
- Identify and mitigate workplace and construction safety risks and ensure compliance with safety rules.
