Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement the entire cattle farm operational & management system.
  • Maintain animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases.
  • Plan and implement vaccination schedules with proper monitoring.
  • Conduct regular health screening and immunity monitoring.
  • Plan and implement proper nutrition for optimal growth and production.
  • Monitor heat detection, conception rates, calving intervals, and milk/meat production.
  • Ensure continuous availability of feed and clean water.
  • Provide technical assistance and supervise support staff.
  • Collect data and generate reports on Feed Conversion Ratio, body weight, production, etc.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for higher management.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by management.

Job Description

Nabil Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Cattle Farm Manager to lead the operational management of a large-scale cattle farm. Key responsibilities (summary): Plan and implement complete cattle farm operations and management systems to ensure efficiency and profitability. Maintain animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases, managing vaccination schedules, and running regular health screenings. Design and implement nutrition plans and feed programs to optimize growth, milk/meat production, and feed conversion ratios. Monitor reproductive performance: heat detection, conception rates, calving intervals and implement corrective actions where necessary. Ensure continuous supply of quality feed and clean water and maintain biosecurity practices to prevent disease outbreaks. Provide technical guidance, training and supervision to farm support staff to maximize productivity and ensure safe animal handling. Collect, analyze and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for higher management covering production metrics like FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio), body weight trends, milk/meat output and health status. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and maintain records for audits and management review. Perform any other assignments as delegated by senior management. Required qualifications & education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) OR Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Animal Husbandry. Minimum 10 years of practical experience managing large cattle farm operations (experience range: 10 to 15 years preferred). Demonstrated ability to manage animal health programs, vaccination campaigns, nutrition planning and farm-level staff supervision. Desired skills and attributes: Strong animal health diagnostic and treatment skills; familiarity with common bovine diseases and their management. Practical experience executing vaccination programs and implementing monitoring systems. Knowledge of feed formulation, nutrition plans and experience tracking Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) and production KPIs. Leadership and staff-management skills, with the ability to train and mentor farm personnel. Good record-keeping, reporting and data-analysis capability for farm performance metrics. Commitment to biosecurity, animal welfare and compliance with company policies. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with head office and senior management.
