Candidates should be prepared to work at office in Dhaka and demonstrate deep knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting and cash & risk management.Key responsibilitiesEnsure proper financial control by managing cash flow and financial instruments in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies (IAS & IFRS where applicable).Prepare, review and submit timely financial reports and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and internal control requirements.Assist and support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in preparing final accounts, budgets, forecasts and other departmental deliverables.Oversee accounting operations, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, and the financial reporting cycle.Manage relationships with auditors, regulators and financial institutions to ensure smooth compliance and reporting processes.Provide leadership and mentoring for the finance & accounts team, improving processes, controls and reporting quality.Required skills and qualificationsMaster’s degree in Accounting/Finance (MCom in Accounting preferred).At least 10 years of relevant professional experience; experience in the insurance sector is required or strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards (IAS/IFRS), financial instruments and corporate finance practices.Proven ability to prepare and present financial statements, manage audits and ensure regulatory compliance.Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
