Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager and Head of Finance and Accounts.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure compliance with petty cash policies.
  • Analyze variances between budgeted and actual expenditures and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with donor rules, regulations, and reporting requirements; assist in preparing documentation for donor audits and internal/external financial audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all project-related financial transactions as per audit standards.
  • Ensure all financial documents are approved and securely filed; prepare debit/journal vouchers and cheques following authorization.
  • Regular banking correspondence, deposits, withdrawals, preparation and preservation of bank-related documents (Bank Reconciliation Statements, checkbook register, etc.).
  • Prepare quarterly, half-yearly and yearly financial reports as per organizational and donor requirements.
  • Support procurement process per organizational policy (purchase requisition/proposal, quotation collection, work order, purchase receipts).
  • Financial follow-up of livelihood and VSLA activities and periodic sharing with CDD.
  • Follow CDD safeguarding policies and report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Perform other responsibilities delegated by project and CDD management.

The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is recruiting a dedicated Project Accountant for its CBM International-supported project “Anticipate, Include, Act: Strengthening Community Resilience in Kurigram”.
