Job Responsibilities
- Monitor incoming jobs and perform assigned textile testing as per methods and SOP.
- Conduct all allotted tests and ensure results accuracy before verification.
- Maintain QC parameters and documentation in line with SOP/guidelines.
- Provide progress updates to internal coordinators and immediate superiors.
- Maintain TAT as per company expectations.
- Check worksheets for correct test methods and alert superiors on deviations for validation.
- Maintain equipment performance and calibration records up to date.
- Supervise all testing activities and ensure adherence to safety and PPE requirements.
- Manage stock of consumables and notify management for timely re-ordering.
- Submit daily testing status reports to the immediate superior.

Intertek Bnagladesh is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Lab Technologist (Contractual) / Lab Officer for its Textile Lab in Dhaka. Conduct all allotted tests diligently and ensure results integrity before verification. Maintain all QC parameters and quality records in accordance with SOPs and company guidelines. Provide regular updates on job progress to the internal coordinator and immediate superior. Ensure lab TAT (turnaround time) is maintained to meet company expectations. Check worksheets for correct test methods and flag any deviations immediately for validation. Maintain equipment performance, calibration records, and ensure calibration schedules are up to date. Supervise all testing activities and guide junior staff where applicable. Enforce prescribed PPE usage and ensure safe lab operations. Monitor inventory of consumables; notify management in time to place orders to avoid disruption. Minimum qualifications and experience: Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in laboratory operations, preferably within multinational companies, garments sector, or third‑party auditing (quality, health, environment, compliance). Awareness training of ISO/IEC 17025 and relevant test method technical training. Required skills and competencies: Strong knowledge of textile testing methods and laboratory practices. Quality control and stock/consumable management skills. Equipment handling and calibration record maintenance. Ability to supervise testing activities and maintain strict documentation.
