Job Responsibilities
- New product research and market analysis for Bangladesh market
- Competitor assessment: price, quality, packaging, market share, strengths/weaknesses
- Field data collection from market visits, distributors, retailers and project sites
- Prepare monthly/quarterly Market Insight Reports
- Define product specifications, design, features and quality standards
- Specify raw materials, components, mold design and material grades
- Coordinate product sample testing and set QC parameters
- Collaborate with R&D and Production teams for product development
- Prepare BOMs, costing sheets, MRP inputs and dealer/wholesale pricing
- Perform profitability, break-even and margin sensitivity analysis

Many Electric & Electronics company is seeking an experienced Product Development & Market Analysis Manager to lead research, development and market introduction of new electrical products across Bangladesh. This is a strategic management-level job for a results-oriented professional who can combine technical product knowledge, market intelligence and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with R&D, Production, Quality and Sales teams to ensure timely, compliant and profitable product launches.This job circular is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in electrical product categories (fans, switches, sockets, DB boards, MCBs, cable ties, PVC tape, and similar items). If you are motivated by building products from concept to market and want to apply your skills in a growing company environment, we encourage you to apply.Key responsibilitiesConduct new product research and market analysis to identify demand, trends and gaps in the Bangladesh market.Assess competitor pricing, quality, packaging, market share and strengths/weaknesses for competitive intelligence.Collect field data through market visits, distributors, retailers, project sites and direct customer interactions.Prepare monthly/quarterly Market Insight Reports and present actionable recommendations to management.Define new product specifications, design features, and quality standards for electrical product categories.Specify raw materials, components, mold design, thickness, contact materials (copper/brass), plastic grade and fire-retardant levels.Coordinate product sample testing, set QC parameters and supervise drop/heat/load/continuity tests.Collaborate with R&D and Production teams throughout development cycles and pilot production runs.Develop BOMs (Bill of Materials), costing sheets, MRP inputs, dealer pricing and wholesale margin structures.Conduct profitability, break-even and margin sensitivity analyses for new product introductions.Ensure compliance with BSTI and other relevant testing/ certification processes and manage laboratory/safety compliance activities.Standardize packaging, labeling and barcode requirements for products entering the market.Coordinate product launches with Sales, Marketing and Branding teams, prepare training manuals and deliver product training to the sales force.Monitor supplier performance with scorecards, track product performance and analyze root causes for low sales or quality issues.Report weekly updates to owners/management and maintain KPI dashboards.Required experience & educationMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in Product Development or Technical Sourcing; 3–5 years preferred.Proven experience in electrical product categories such as fans, switches, sockets, DB boards, MCB/MCB boxes, cable ties, PVC tape or similar products.Practical understanding of product costing, QC processes and manufacturing/vendor audit experience.Education: Not specified in the circular; bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.Skills & competenciesStrong market analysis and competitive intelligence skills.Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for BOMs, costing and presentations.Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.Technical specification knowledge and ability to prepare BOMs and costing sheets.Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English.Problem-solving mindset and practical factory/vendor audit experience.KPIs & performance targetsDeliver 3–5 feasibility reports for new products every quarter.Successfully launch 5–8 new products annually.Achieve ≥ 5% cost reduction through sourcing/design optimization.Maintain supplier on-time delivery ≥ 95% and QC failure rate ≤ 1.5%.Compensation & workplaceSalary: Tk. 40,000 – 60,000 per month (as listed).Workplace: Anywhere in Bangladesh; field visits and factory visits required.How to applyThis job posting is published as a company circular on the platform.
