Overview The Development Merchandiser – Lingerie is a key role for a UK based brand liaison company seeking an experienced, technically skilled, and commercially aware candidate to manage end-to-end product development for lingerie categories. Key job responsibilities Manage the end-to-end development process for lingerie products (bras, panties, shapewear, nightwear and related items) from concept/sample to production handover. Develop and maintain product specifications, tech packs, and fit standards in line with brand and commercial requirements. Coordinate sample development and fittings with factories and pattern makers; lead sample reviews and implement fit corrections. Ensure cost-effective product development by working on costing, BOMs, and material sourcing with suppliers and internal teams. Work closely with QA and compliance teams to ensure materials and finished products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Maintain development calendars and timelines; escalate schedule risks and ensure on-time sample and production milestones. Build and maintain strong relationships with factories, trims and materials suppliers, and other external partners. Resolve technical fit, construction and manufacturing issues by providing clear technical guidance and alterations. Document lessons learned and help implement continuous improvements in development processes. Required skills and competencies Strong product knowledge and technical understanding of lingerie construction, patterning and fit. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in textile/lingerie/product development or merchandising, preferably with international brand workflows. Bachelor/Honours degree or equivalent in textile, apparel design, merchandising or related discipline. Commercial awareness with experience in costing and BOM preparation. Excellent coordination and communication skills to liaise with factories, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple product lines simultaneously. Proficiency in common office software; familiarity with PLM or tech-pack tools is a plus. Ability to travel domestically to supplier/factory sites when required.
