Job Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research and analysis of listed companies, IPO prospects, and potential private placements.
- Prepare sectoral reports to identify opportunities and risks (Banking, NBFI, Pharmaceuticals, Power & Energy, IT, etc.).
- Track macroeconomic indicators, budget announcements, monetary policies, and regulatory changes affecting capital markets.
- Develop and maintain financial models (DCF, Comparable Company, Precedent Transactions, etc.).
- Analyze financial statements, quarterly disclosures, and price-sensitive information (PSI) of listed companies.
- Provide valuation inputs for IPO pricing, rights issues, bond/debenture issuance, and M&A activities.
- Support Portfolio Managers with stock selection, asset allocation, and investment strategy.
- Prepare investment notes, presentations, and briefing materials for clients and internal committees.

BD Finance Securities Ltd. is seeking a motivated Research Analyst (Junior / Senior) to join its capital markets and research team. Key responsibilities (you will be expected to): Conduct detailed research and analysis of listed companies, IPO prospects, and potential private placements. Prepare sectoral and thematic reports (e.g., Banking, NBFI, Pharmaceuticals, Power & Energy, IT) to identify opportunities and risks for investors and internal stakeholders. Track macroeconomic indicators, budget announcements, monetary policy moves and regulatory changes affecting capital markets in Bangladesh and regional contexts. Develop and maintain financial models including DCF, Comparable Company, and Precedent Transactions analysis for valuation and investment decision support. Analyze financial statements, quarterly disclosures and price sensitive information of listed companies to derive actionable investment insights. Provide valuation and pricing inputs for IPOs, rights issues, bond or debenture issuances and M&A activities. Support portfolio managers with stock selection, asset allocation and formulation of investment strategy. Prepare client-ready investment notes, presentations and briefing materials for internal committees and external clients. Required skills & competencies: Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills; comfortable doing industry and market analysis. Proven experience in financial modeling (DCF, comparables, transaction comps) and valuation techniques. Excellent Excel skills; experience with Power BI (and other visualization/reporting tools) is required. Good understanding of capital markets, listed company disclosures, and regulatory environment in Bangladesh. Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders and clients. Familiarity with macroeconomic analysis and its impact on markets is preferred. Experience & education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent from a reputed university (Bachelor/Honors). 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in share brokerage, securities house, research, investment banking or portfolio management. (Minimum 3 years preferred.) CFA Level 1 pass or progress in CFA program will be given preference. Other requirements & preferences: Candidates of any gender (M/F) may apply.
