Job Responsibilities
- Ability to perform ultrasounds
- Conduct routine check-ups on patients
- Monitor and treat expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum
- Record and update medical histories and maintain clinical documentation
- Collaborate with medical and non-medical personnel including UK-based RDF Global members
- Keep up to date with current practices and innovations in maternal health
- Promote Normal Vaginal Delivery (NVD) when appropriate
- Deliver educational workshops for mothers
- Provide emergency care and respond to out-of-hours calls as required
- Support establishing a system for providing quality antenatal and postnatal care in a rural environment
- Reside in clinic accommodation provided and adhere to clinic schedules

Rural Development Foundation Global (RDF Global) invites applications for a dedicated Clinic Doctor (RMO) — female — to join RDF Maternity Care in Patli, Jagannathpur, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Bangladesh. This is an important healthcare job/circular seeking a compassionate medical professional to work in a rural maternity setting and support the delivery of high-quality antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. This job is ideal for clinicians who want hands-on rural service experience and the chance to contribute to establishing sustainable maternal health systems.Key responsibilitiesPerform routine check-ups and clinical examinations for antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal patients.Provide obstetric care including monitoring and management of pregnancy, labour and delivery, and postpartum care; promote Normal Vaginal Delivery (NVD) when clinically appropriate.Perform and interpret obstetric ultrasound scans for routine care.Record and update patient medical histories and maintain accurate clinical documentation.Provide emergency care and respond to out-of-hours emergency calls as required.Deliver health education sessions and workshops for mothers on pregnancy, newborn care, breastfeeding and maternal health.Collaborate with nursing staff, midwives, administrative personnel and external stakeholders including UK-based RDF Global members.Support the establishment and continuous improvement of clinic systems to ensure quality antenatal and postnatal services in a rural environment.Required education, license & certificationsBoard certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (as applicable) or equivalent recognized certification.Valid license to practice medicine in Bangladesh.Any additional clinical certification relevant to maternal health or emergency obstetric care is desirable.Experience & skillsProven experience practicing medicine, preferably with obstetric or maternity care exposure.Ability to perform and interpret ultrasounds.Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.Excellent bedside manner — compassionate, trustworthy and patient-focused.Clear verbal and written communication skills for patient counseling and teamwork.Comfortable working in a rural environment and able to reside in clinic-provided accommodation.Willingness to participate in on-call emergency duties and regular liaison with international team members.Working conditions & benefitsLocation: RDF Maternity Care, Rasulganj Road, Patli, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Bangladesh.Work schedule: Expected clinic hours 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily except Friday and authorized government holidays; on-call emergency duties as required.Accommodation: Separate clinic accommodation with full facilities provided free of charge.Compensation: Negotiable (to be discussed during interview).Other benefits: Further benefits to be discussed after physical interview; opportunities to work closely with an international charity network.How to applyThis circular invites interested candidates to apply by sending a CV to the recruiting company.
