Job Responsibilities
- Perform various types of inspections and identify and control non-conforming products during production.
- Train factory QCs to provide solutions and proactively guide factories to avoid non-conforming products.
- Follow through on risk assessment, customer comments, verify Size Set feedback, conduct Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) and support pilot and bulk production starts.
- Ensure style files and all merchant approvals are in place and explain production requirements to factory teams.
- Escalate exceptions and delays to team members for necessary action and follow up on corrective measures.
- Ensure process controls and correct machines are in place to achieve required quality and production output.
- Initiate and monitor quality improvement projects (cutting, sewing, finishing, housekeeping) with weekly and monthly MIS reporting.
- Check workmanship, measurement, fitting and materials per tech-packs and highlight discrepancies.
- Drive daily production meetings, engage with factory top management and resolve issues.
- Conduct in-line, pre-final, packing audits and Final Random Inspections (FRI) per SOP.
- Segregate rejection lots, maintain records and ensure leftover garment control procedures.
- Ensure product safety including mold prevention, pest control, pull/bonding tests and coordinate lab/chemical tests.
- Handle third party in-line and final inspections and facilitate urgent or night inspections with approval.
- Evaluate factory performance using DHU reports and set targets for development.
- Follow buyer requirements in PP meetings and troubleshoot cutting, sewing, washing and finishing issues.
