Job Responsibilities
- On-spot quality assessment at supplier locations for rice, maize and other agricultural commodities
- Measure and evaluate moisture content, purity, grain size, foreign material and maturity
- Recommend acceptance, rejection or retesting and provide QC approval to procurement
- Inspect supplier locations across multiple districts and monitor quality consistency
- Collect samples, maintain documentation and send samples for lab testing when required
- Prepare QC inspection reports and update ERP/Google Sheets or designated software
- Coordinate with Procurement, Purchase Officer and Supply Chain teams on quality issues
- Monitor market and seasonal trends affecting product quality and advise the team
- Ensure QC protocols, SOPs and compliance policies are followed

Please read the full job description and apply if you meet the requirements.Why this job mattersThis position contributes directly to ensuring purchased agricultural commodities meet company QC standards before procurement—protecting product quality, reducing supply chain risk, and improving farmer and buyer outcomes. As a QC Officer at this company, you will be part of a cross-functional team including Procurement, Supply Chain, and Analytics.Key responsibilitiesConduct on-spot quality assessment at supplier locations for rice (ধান), maize (ভুট্টা) and other agricultural commodities.Measure and evaluate moisture content, purity, grain size, foreign material, maturity and other quality metrics to the company’s QC standards.Recommend acceptance, rejection or retesting based on objective QC findings and provide clear QC approval to procurement.Inspect supplier locations across multiple districts and monitor quality consistency across regions.Collect representative samples, document sample details, maintain chain-of-custody and send samples for lab testing when required.Prepare detailed QC inspection reports and update ERP/Google Sheets or designated software with measurement data (moisture %, impurities %, sample details, supplier info).Coordinate closely with Purchase Officer, Procurement Team and Supply Chain Team to escalate quality risks and provide corrective recommendations.Monitor market signals and seasonal trends that may affect product quality; advise the team on potential supply or quality risks.Follow QC protocols, SOPs and company compliance policies to ensure ethical and unbiased quality assessments.Required qualifications and experienceBachelor/Honors in Agriculture, Crop Science, Food Technology, Agricultural Product Management or related field (as stated in the circular).1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in QC, quality assessment or inspection for agricultural commodities, agro-processing, or FMCG manufacturing sectors.Experience with field sample collection, moisture measurement tools and basic lab coordination.Must have own motorbike for field mobility.Skills & competenciesTechnical: moisture meters, QC inspection tools, sample handling, basic laboratory testing coordination.Software: MS Excel, Google Sheets, ERP/data entry for QC reporting.Soft skills: strong communication, coordination with procurement and suppliers, analytical thinking and problem solving.Other benefits & compensationSalary Range: Tk. 18,000 - 20,000 (Monthly).Benefits include T/A, mobile bill reimbursement, medical allowance, insurance, yearly salary review and two festival bonuses.
