Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely execution of routine and scheduled maintenance of all commercial vehicles to maintain optimum operational efficiency
  • Allocate and supervise manpower effectively for vehicle repair and servicing operations
  • Monitor and update the maintenance status of all vehicles on a regular basis
  • Take immediate action for emergency repairs and breakdown maintenance
  • Manage road-side repairs and vehicle recovery operations as required
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing necessary technical guidance and support
  • Ensure proper store requisition and availability of required spare parts for vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Forecast future spare parts and vehicle (TPT) requirements to meet upcoming operational and commercial demands

  • Monitor and control fuel consumption by checking and maintaining the KPL (kilometer per liter) of each vehicle

Required education & experience: Diploma/B.Sc in Automobile Engineering from a reputed institute. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience (6 to 10 years preferred) in vehicle maintenance and transport operations, preferably within the cement industry, steel, or other heavy industry. Preferred skills and attributes: Strong technical knowledge of modern vehicle engines, spare parts, and accessory systems. Experience with ERP systems for maintenance documentation and inventory control. Good leadership and people management skills; ability to allocate and supervise technicians and mechanics. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills for emergency repairs and breakdown situations. Capability to forecast spare parts and transport requirements and manage vendor contacts. Other job requirements: Age preference: 32 to 36 years (as specified in the circular).
