Job Responsibilities
- Lead the in-house C&F team for efficient, cost-effective and compliant execution of import and export processing for the company.
- Manage movement of products, materials and equipment into and out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and applicable local and international law.
- Maintain constant follow-up with buyers, shippers and stakeholders to ensure timely shipments and dispatch of shipping documents prior to arrival of consignments.
- Liaise with Customs, Port authorities and relevant government organizations for import consignment clearance aligned with the company’s code of conduct.
- Collaborate with C&F agents, banks, insurance providers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters and inspection companies to release consignments at the right time and cost.
- Design material movement plans to ensure availability based on production and requirement planning.
- Enlist and develop vendors to support improved operational management.
- Control and reduce demurrage and other avoidable costs while maximizing logistics savings.
- Implement appropriate processes to resolve operational and regulatory issues.
- Analyze activities and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Required Skills
- At least 12 years of C&F and customs experience
- Detailed knowledge of customs formalities

Skills and technical competencies Detailed knowledge of customs formalities and import/export documentation processes. Practical understanding of H.S. codes and their application. Familiarity with Bill of Entry, Bill of Exchange (B/E), Bill of Lading (B/L), Bill of Export, SROs, SWIFT, UCP-600, HAB, MAWB, PSI, ICD operations, LCL & FCL cargo handling, IGM & EGM. Knowledge of assessable value, invoice value, tax holiday provisions, duty drawback and INCOTERMS. Understanding of commercial, banking, customs and shipping terms and tariff structures for import/export goods. Experience with pre-shipment and post-shipment inspection processes. Good communication skills in English and Bengali and basic computer proficiency. Ability to work flexible hours and manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
