Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement country-level strategy plans including annual Country Strategy Plan and Multi Annual Strategy Plan (MASP).
- Provide technical leadership for saline agriculture in the NABAPALLAB consortium (Sundarbans and Hakaloki Haor components).
- Prepare technical papers, guidelines, and capacity building materials for staff and partners.
- Identify funding opportunities, develop pilots for product and service innovations, and support proposal development.
- Support project management: monitor progress, quality, budget, scope and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Monitor projects and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes, mobilize resources and follow up on changes.
- Advise local partners on performance improvement and partnership management.
- Design and deliver training, mentoring and capacity strengthening for consortium and partners.
- Contribute to programme technical quality by suggesting new programmes and coordinating with global teams.
- Gather and analyze information for funding proposals and draft proposal sections.
- Define monitoring indicators and support reporting and documentation to improve program predictability.
- Ensure integration of gender equity and social inclusion across project activities and maintain integrity standards.

Job Description
This job posting is for an experienced Technical Advisor in saline agriculture to join Cordaid's NABAPALLAB project in Bangladesh. The company seeks a strategic, hands-on professional to provide technical leadership, strengthen partner capacities, and support program development and implementation across coastal landscapes including Sundarbans and Hakaloki Haor. This circular is open to candidates who can demonstrate strong program management, partnership development and technical expertise in saline and coastal agricultural systems.This job is with a well-established international company working in Bangladesh. The successful candidate will work closely with local partners, public and private sector stakeholders, and Cordaid country and global teams. Candidates are encouraged to apply who have demonstrated success in system strengthening, proposal development, and technical guidance in agriculture-related programs.Key responsibilitiesLead country-level strategy development and implementation for saline agriculture components, contributing to annual Country Strategy Plan, Multi-Annual Strategy Plan (MASP) and country business planning.Act as the technical lead for saline agriculture in the NABAPALLAB consortium: provide technical advice, develop technical papers and guidelines, and deliver targeted training for staff and partners.Identify and develop product and service innovations, assess donor trends and funding opportunities, and design pilots to renew and improve country office offerings.Support project management by ensuring timely progress, quality, budget and scope adherence; stimulate and monitor program progress and propose realistic adjustments.Support and monitor projects to identify quality and process improvements, mobilize resources, and strengthen implementation capacity at national and regional levels.Advise local partners: identify collaboration bottlenecks, provide actionable recommendations and contribute to sustained partnerships.Design and deliver tailored training, mentoring and capacity strengthening for consortium members and partners.Contribute to programme technical quality by monitoring contextual developments, proposing new programmes and coordinating with global programme teams.Gather and analyze information for funding proposals, draft proposal sections and support institutional donor engagement.Define monitoring indicators, contribute to reporting and documentation standards, and support evidence-based improvements.Ensure integration of gender equity and social inclusion in project planning and implementation and uphold Cordaid’s integrity and accountability standards.Required skills and experienceMaster’s degree (MSc) in Agriculture, or Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Agriculture; equivalent long-term experience will be considered.Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience (with strong preference for 10+ years for senior roles) in agriculture-focused roles, ideally within INGOs, UN agencies or relevant institutions working in Bangladesh.Proven experience in saline/coastal agriculture and knowledge of agricultural systems in Bangladesh (Sundarbans, Hakaloki Haor and coastal areas).Experience working with local partners, public and private sectors, focusing on capacity strengthening, influencing policy, and market systems development.Strong skills in proposal development, donor engagement and identifying business opportunities.Excellent reporting and documentation skills; experience in training & development and facilitating learning events.Strong networking, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills in both English and Bangla (written and spoken).Behavioral attributes: accountability, respect, inclusivity, diplomacy, creativity, flexibility and result-orientation.Other relevant informationJob location: Dhaka and Khulna (with field engagements across coastal zones).Job type: Full Time, office-based work with necessary field visits.Vacancies: 1.Benefits: mobile bill contribution, weekly 2 holidays, and other standard INGO benefits as per company policy.Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply.This job circular targets professionals who want to contribute to resilient and sustainable agro-food systems in Bangladesh.
