Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing design drawings, specifications and BoQs for electrical works and renovations
- Supervise, monitor and ensure quality of construction, finishing works and materials
- Prepare work plans and submit regular progress reports; measure completed works and record in Measurement Book (MB)
- Oversee electrical distribution, panel board maintenance and internal/external lighting systems
- Manage electricians and ensure completion of maintenance tasks as per schedule
- Maintain and service backup power systems including generators, UPS and IPS
- Supervise and maintain HVAC systems, elevators and other electromechanical systems
- Implement electrical safety systems such as grounding and lightning protection
- Maintain engineering documents, inspection logs, registers and checklists
- Prepare technical reports and maintain effective communication with stakeholders
- Conduct scheduled maintenance visits, identify issues and execute corrective actions
- Verify final bills and ensure refund of security deposits
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the authority

Overview:Janasheba Foundation (JF) is seeking a motivated Assistant Maintenance Electrical Engineer to support building maintenance, electrical systems, and electromechanical operations across project sites in Chattogram and Dhaka, Bangladesh. The company follows its official rules on benefits and provides a structured environment to learn, lead, and deliver results.Key responsibilities (summary):Assist in preparing design drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for electrical works and renovations.Supervise, monitor and ensure quality of construction, finishing works, and materials used at sites.Prepare work plans and submit regular progress reports for ongoing projects; measure completed works and keep accurate Measurement Book records.Oversee electrical distribution, panel board maintenance, and internal/external lighting systems.Manage electricians and coordinate maintenance teams to ensure scheduled tasks are completed on time.Maintain and service backup power systems including generators, UPS and IPS; supervise HVAC, elevators and other electromechanical systems.Implement electrical safety systems (grounding, lightning protection) and ensure compliance with safety requirements.Maintain engineering documents, inspection logs, registers and checklists; prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.Perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance and any additional duties assigned by the authority.Detailed responsibilities (expanded):Assist superiors with all designs, drawings and specifications according to project standards and ensure proper documentation.Regularly coordinate with Head Office, consultants and contractors to ensure project alignment and timely resolution of issues.Conduct scheduled maintenance visits, identify issues, take action and make recommendations for improvements.Verify final bills, ensure refund of security deposits and support administrative procedures related to maintenance and construction.Required skills & qualifications:Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution (mandatory).Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and MS Office applications.Proven ability to write technical reports, use email professionally and perform internet research.Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with generator, UPS/IPS maintenance, power distribution and panel board systems.Understanding of HVAC, elevator systems and general electromechanical maintenance.Good organizational and people-management skills to lead electricians and contractors.Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies; willingness to be responsive and responsible in critical situations.Preferred experience: Preference will be given to experienced candidates who can demonstrate practical maintenance work and supervisory exposure. However, fresh diploma holders who demonstrate strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.Age & eligibility: Age 22 to 35 years.
