Job Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services to pediatric patients under the care of the department.
  • Ensure round-the-clock (24/7) patient care, including supervision of emergency and inpatient management.
  • Supervise and coordinate Medical Officers (MOs), intern doctors, medical students, and nursing staff.
  • Attend and manage patients in OPD, Emergency Unit, and inpatient wards, assisting senior physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Accompany consultants during clinical rounds and implement their instructions with accurate documentation.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of patient care, treatment plans, and clinical progress.
  • Organize and conduct educational activities and training sessions for interns, IMOs/MOs, nursing staff, and clinical students.
  • Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and promote professional knowledge-sharing.
  • Ensure presence and punctuality of on-duty staff according to the official duty roster.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, administrative personnel, and other clinical departments for coordinated care.
  • Perform physical examinations, prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests.
  • Provide counselling or psychological support to patients when required.
  • Work weekday hours 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM and weekday evening duty hours 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM; perform additional duties as instructed.
