Education Requirements

Job Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and supervise OT nursing services to ensure patient safety and efficient surgical workflows.
- Maintain sterile conditions and ensure compliance with infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
- Manage OT equipment, supplies and inventory; ensure proper functioning and maintenance of devices such as C-arm, laparoscopy sets and electrocautery.
- Mentor and supervise nursing staff, manage rosters and provide on-the-job clinical teaching.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to support surgical procedures and emergency responses.
- Ensure compliance with BNMC, MoHFW and relevant government/DGHS protocols and reporting requirements.
- Lead quality improvement, documentation, audit and service safety practices in the OT.
- Participate in emergency preparedness, critical care escalation and ACLS/BLS-supported responses.
