Job Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe doctors’ dictations and medical reports from ultrasonogram, cardiology, and endoscopy departments in the proper format.
- Type both full and abbreviated forms of medical terms, abbreviations, and acronyms while ensuring grammatical accuracy, correct spelling, and sentence structure.
- Review, proofread, and edit all transcribed materials to maintain clarity, consistency, and correct usage of medical terminology.
- Verify and correct any transcription errors or inconsistencies that may affect patient records, coordinating with physicians for clarification when necessary.
- Operate transcription and word-processing equipment efficiently and manage all related documentation in an organised and confidential manner.
- File, store, and maintain departmental reports and related documents following institutional and departmental protocols.
- Follow specific instructions provided by respective department heads and ensure the timely submission of all finalised reports.
- Uphold data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with the organisation’s quality standards in all transcription tasks.
