Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Biological or Social Sciences, Conservation Management, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Natural Resources Management, Development Studies, Anthropology, or a related field.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor to coordinate and implement community based activities.
  • Assist supervisor in activity designing.
  • Assist supervisor to conduct field level survey and information collection.
  • Liaison with relevant community groups and organizations.
  • Assist supervisor in facilitating training, workshops and meetings with stakeholders including government agencies.
  • Assist supervisor to conduct awareness campaigns to achieve organisational/project goals and objectives.
  • Oversee wildlife rescue operations, data management and reporting.
  • Assist supervisor to implement capacity development training events for local stakeholders and implement those in the field.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant government organizations and community groups.
  • Assist supervisor to manage team, work plan and budget.
  • Prepare activity reports, monthly expense reports and monthly status reports using WildTeam’s templates and procedures.
  • Manage field office and logistics, support procurement and administrative operations.
  • Produce team workplans and associated checkpoint reports; collect data regularly to measure achievement against performance indicators.
  • Check data quality with partners and prepare & maintain M&E database.
  • Support supervisor in grant proposal writing and perform tasks as directed by supervisor.
  • Regular maintenance of WildTeam’s Museum and Interpretation Centre and Sundarban Education Centre (SEC) activities.
  • Assist with knowledge management activities and maintain communications with SEC members, Tiger Scouts and other wildlife lovers.
  • Build media and public relations.

Required Skills

  • Community engagement and capacity development experience.

  • Experience with community-based organizations, behaviour change programs, or local government initiatives.
  • Strong documentation and report writing in Bangla and English.
  • Data collection, M&E database management and data quality checking.
  • Training and workshop facilitation skills.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making in complex situations.
  • Willingness to work in Sundarbans and join at short notice.
  • Familiarity with wildlife rescue operations (preferred).
