Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and provide clinical care to admitted patients following surgeons' instructions.
- Assess patients for surgical fitness and provide pre-operative clearance.
- Assist in the operating theatre (OT): take case histories, assist during operations, help with instrumentation.
- Provide counseling and communicate with patients and relatives regarding procedures and aftercare.
- Perform dressing changes and routine post-operative care.
- Respond immediately to emergency conditions and inform the relevant surgeon.
- Adhere to hospital rules, protocols and maintain professional conduct.
