Overview Rural Development Foundation Global (RDF) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Counsellor / Psychologist (Adult Counselling) to join its team in Sylhet. Key responsibilities Provide professional one-on-one counselling and psychological support to adult clients in a clinical and community setting. Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized intervention and treatment plans. Maintain accurate, confidential case records and session notes in accordance with ethical and legal standards. Work collaboratively with RDF’s wider programmes to integrate mental health support into ongoing humanitarian and healthcare projects. Engage in regular clinical supervision and pursue continuous professional development and learning. Promote mental health awareness and outreach activities to normalize help-seeking behavior and reduce stigma in the community. Adhere to codes of ethics and confidentiality, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams when necessary for client well-being and referral. Required experience and qualifications Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or a recognized equivalent degree. Minimum 5 years of practical experience working with adult clients in counselling or psychological support roles. Verified experience in adult counselling and evidence of supervision during practice. Membership in a recognized professional body (BECPS preferred) or other credible international/regional professional accreditation is an advantage. Optional: BMDC registration for clinical psychologists where applicable.
