Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ conditions through physical examinations and medical history to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses.
- Provide immediate medical treatment, including administering medications, performing CPR, and managing trauma or life-threatening conditions.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, emergency services, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments administered, and responses to care.
- Ensure safe and effective transport of patients to medical facilities, monitoring their condition en route.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with emergency medical protocols and techniques; may also provide training for other staff or community members.
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and ready for use.
- Participate in public health initiatives, including educating the community on emergency preparedness and response.
- Remain calm and effective in high-stress situations, managing both the medical and emotional needs of patients and their families.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality, and follow established protocols and guidelines.
- Carry out tasks assigned by the competent authority.
