Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare various notices against defaulter clients.
  • Deal with problematic clients and perform frequent field visits.
  • Regular court appearances for NI Act, 420/406 and Artha Rin cases.
  • Follow up on pending Artha Rin and NI Act cases under processing.
  • Prepare and send letters to lawyers to initiate cases.
  • Maintain constant contact with lawyers on legal matters.
  • Prepare Artha Rin and NI Act case filing papers and related documents.
  • Recovery of write-off, SME and corporate clients’ dues.
  • Prepare Bangladesh Bank reports as required.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Companies Act-1994, Financial Institution Act, NI Act and Artha Rin procedures
  • Knowledge of Income Tax Act, VAT & Supplementary Duty Act, Labour Law and BB/DFIM circulars
  • Excellent drafting and written communication skills in Bengali and English
  • Proficiency in Bengali typing and official document drafting
  • Strong court representation and litigation skills

Aviva Finance Limited is seeking a seasoned legal professional to join its Legal & Recovery Department as Officer — First Assistant Vice President (FAVP). The role requires close coordination with Credit Administration, Investment and other internal departments.Key responsibilities (high-level)Appear regularly at courts for various cases (NI Act, 420/406, Artha Rin).Prepare and serve notices and legal filings for defaulter clients.Prepare and file Artha Rin and NI Act case documentation and related papers.Coordinate with external lawyers and maintain constant contact regarding legal matters and case progress.Follow up on pending cases, monitor case status and ensure timely actions.Drive recoveries of write-off, SME and corporate accounts and pursue recovery strategies.Prepare Bangladesh Bank reports as required and support regulator interactions.Support management with ad-hoc legal and recovery-related tasks.Required education & qualificationsBachelor of Law (LLB) and Master of Law (LLM).
