Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for store operations, product sourcing, inventory and distribution.
  • Define and enforce quality policies, standards and SOPs across retail outlets and supply chain.
  • Carry out regular audits, inspections and quality checks of products (sourced and in-store), services and store environment.
  • Monitor supplier/vendor compliance and quality performance; collaborate with procurement to address non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Set quality KPIs (defect rate, returns, customer complaints), report performance to senior management and initiate improvement plans.
  • Lead and train the quality team and store staff on quality practices, customer service quality, product presentation and defect control.
  • Coordinate with store operations, merchandising and logistics to ensure quality is embedded in all processes.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to product/service quality, implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Overview Tabaya_ A Concern of Ghorer Bazar is recruiting an experienced and driven Manager, Quality Control for its Clothing Division. This job is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional to lead quality assurance across retail store operations and the supply chain. The role is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is open to experienced candidates who want to apply their expertise to improve product quality, reduce defects and enhance customer satisfaction. Conduct regular audits, inspections and quality checks for sourced products and in-store merchandise and environment. Monitor supplier and vendor compliance and quality performance; collaborate with procurement to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions. Establish and track quality KPIs (defect rate, returns, customer complaints, etc.), prepare performance reports for senior management and drive continuous improvement plans. Lead, mentor and train the quality team and store staff on quality practices, customer service quality, product presentation and defect control. Coordinate with store operations, merchandising and logistics to embed quality into daily processes. Investigate customer complaints related to product or service quality, perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive measures. Required skills & experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within garments, retail or e-commerce business areas. (At least 5 years) Practical experience designing and operating Quality Management Systems for retail/clothing supply chains. Proven experience conducting supplier audits, product inspections and store-level quality reviews. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Good leadership, stakeholder management and training capabilities to lead a quality team and work with cross-functional partners. Familiarity with quality KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement methodologies. Effective communication skills in English and Bengali for internal reporting and vendor interactions.
