Detailed responsibilities: Conceptualize and create seasonal design directions and mood boards that align with brand identity and market demand. Develop precise technical specifications in tech packs to guide sample making and bulk production. Participate actively in fittings and collaborate with pattern makers and production to finalize fit and construction details. Source suitable fabrics and trims, evaluate suppliers, and recommend cost-effective materials that preserve design integrity. Track competitive market offerings and consumer trends to ensure the brand remains contemporary and relevant. Provide design solutions for custom orders and support the marketing team with lookbooks and design assets. Required qualifications & skills: Education: Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fashion Designing or equivalent. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the garments industry, with demonstrated experience designing ready-to-wear and/or modest wear (jubba, abaya). Technical skills: Strong ability to prepare tech packs, detailed sketches, sample specifications, and knowledge of garment construction and fittings. Software & tools: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools; familiarity with pattern-making software is a plus. Fabric & trim knowledge: Ability to research and select appropriate fabrics and trims based on design and production requirements. Collaboration & communication: Excellent communication skills for working with production teams, suppliers, and marketing colleagues.
