Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage all procurement activities for the factory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Identify reliable local and international vendors and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stock shortages.
- Collaborate with Accounts, Production, and Store departments to forecast material requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders, supplier agreements, and procurement documentation in compliance with company policy.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and legal procurement standards (VAT, TDS).
- Track shipments, follow up with suppliers, and coordinate customs clearance for imported goods.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions in ERP or relevant software (Tally).
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement efficiency.
- Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and new sourcing options.
- Support management in budgeting, cost analysis, and supplier contract negotiations.

Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work under pressure and manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships. Hands-on experience with supplier and vendor management, import documentation, customs coordination, and compliance with Bangladesh VAT and source tax (TDS) regulations. Education & desirable qualifications: MBA, MCom, or MBM in Commerce is required; postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.
