Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all export and import operations, including LC opening, amendments, shipment tracking, and documentation.
- Coordinate with banks, C&F agents, shipping lines, and freight forwarders for timely clearance of consignments.
- Prepare and maintain commercial documents: Proforma Invoice, Bill of Entry, Bill of Lading, Packing List, LC documents, etc.
- Ensure compliance with Customs, VAT, and regulatory requirements for international trade.
- Supervise activities under Bonded Warehouse Licensing Rules and comply with Customs Bond laws.
- Liaise with Customs, EPB, BTMA, BGMEA and other authorities for bond and trade-related matters.
- Handle Back-to-Back LC, TT payments, freight negotiations, and insurance procedures.
- Monitor LC utilization, bank liabilities, shipment schedules, and documentation status.
- Coordinate with Accounts & Finance for reconciliations and tax/duty payments; support audits.
- Communicate with foreign suppliers and buyers regarding orders, shipments, and payments.
- Evaluate market trends, freight costs, and FX rates to support decision-making.
- Prepare commercial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses for management.
- Perform other duties assigned by management to ensure compliant business operations.

A3 Color Chem Ltd. is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead and manage all export-import, commercial documentation, and bonded warehouse operations at its factory office in Narsingdi. Supervise all activities under the Bonded Warehouse Licensing Rules, 2008 (as amended by NBR) and ensure strict adherence to Bangladesh Customs Bond laws and regulations. Liaise with Customs, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), BTMA, BGMEA, and other relevant government authorities for bond and trade-related matters. Handle Back-to-Back LC, TT payments, freight negotiations, and insurance procedures effectively. Monitor and maintain accurate records of LC utilization, bank liabilities, shipment schedules, and documentation status. Coordinate with Accounts & Finance for bank reconciliations, duty, and tax payments and support audits. Communicate professionally with foreign suppliers and buyers regarding order status, shipment planning, and payment terms. Continuously evaluate international market trends, freight costs, and foreign exchange rates to support commercial planning. Assist management in preparing commercial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses for business planning. Perform any other duties assigned by management to ensure smooth and compliant business operations. Required skills and qualifications Master of Business Administration (MBA) or M.Com in Accounting/Commerce preferred. BBA with MBA or M.Com also acceptable. Postgraduate diploma in International Trade or Commercial Management is an advantage. 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing (FMCG), textile, or chemical industries with hands-on exposure to export-import and bonded warehouse operations. Strong knowledge of customs auditing, customs bond rules, VAT, customs duty, and income tax related to trade. Proven experience handling LC transactions (including back-to-back LCs), TT payments, freight negotiation, and trade finance operations. Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali (verbal and written). Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems and sound understanding of banking practices related to trade finance.
