Job Responsibilities
- Budgeting and financial planning
- VAT, tax compliance, and coordination with auditors
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Changes in Equity, Cash Flow Statement, Notes)
- Maintain internal control systems and financial policies
- Record and verify all financial transactions in accounting software
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and cash books
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare reconciliation reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, prepare aging reports
- Inventory and cost tracking and management
- Support annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors
- Documentation, filing and digitalization of financial records
- Coordinate with management, commercial, and supply chain teams for budgeting and payment planning

Key responsibilities (summary): Budgeting and financial planning to support business growth and strategic decision-making. Ensure VAT, tax compliance, and coordinate statutory audits with external auditors. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial statements (Statement of Financial Position, Income Statement, Changes in Equity, Cash Flow Statement and Notes). Implement and maintain robust internal control systems and financial policies. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: record and verify sales, purchases, payments, receipts; maintain ledgers, journals, and cash books. Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports. Manage payables and receivables: monitor aging, ensure timely payments and collections, and liaise with the sales team for collection follow-up. Inventory and cost tracking, support in cost control and margin analysis. Support annual financial audits and maintain complete documentation for compliance. Coordinate closely with management, commercial, and supply chain teams on budgeting, forecasting, and payment planning. Required qualifications and skills: Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting or MBA (Accounting) from a recognized university (UGC approved). Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance in a reputed real estate, construction company, or financial institution. Professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCA will be given preference. Strong knowledge of VAT, tax regulations, statutory reporting, and audit procedures. Proficiency with accounting software (customized accounting systems) and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
