Job Responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen relationships with donors and stakeholders; secure new funding.
- Develop and implement organization-wide communication and fundraising plans.
- Prepare donor reports, proposals, concept notes, success stories, press releases and other materials.
- Coordinate communications, networking, advocacy and fundraising with the management team.

Role summary: As the Communication and Relationship Manager you will lead WADAs communications, donor relations and fundraising strategies. This full-time role includes developing and implementing communication plans, cultivating donor relationships, ensuring donor compliance and producing high-quality written and verbal materials for diverse stakeholders. Key responsibilities: Manage and strengthen relationships with current donors and stakeholders; secure new funding opportunities to support programs and operations. Develop and implement a strategic communication plan to raise WADAs profile and ensure consistent messaging across projects, campaigns and reports. Prepare high-quality donor reports, proposals, concept notes, success stories, press releases and other communication materials as required. Coordinate closely with senior management and program teams on advocacy, networking and fundraising initiatives. Maintain accurate and detailed records of donor interactions, feedback and compliance documentation. Respond to donor requests and ensure timely submission of deliverables according to donor requirements. Provide leadership to the communications function and support capacity building of staff where necessary. Work under pressure during critical situations and support emergency response communication needs when required. Required qualifications & experience: Minimum: Masters degree (MSS in Social Science, MA in English, MBA or relevant masters). At least 5 years of relevant experience in the NGO sector with demonstrated donor management, fundraising and communications experience. Excellent writing and spoken English skills; ability to produce clear, well-structured proposals and reports. Strong leadership, team management and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with computers and common office software; familiarity with communication tools and social media an advantage. Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques, safeguarding and gender issues; strict adherence to child protection and safeguarding policies is mandatory.
