Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group career counselling and career preparation sessions
- Conduct sessions on CV writing, interview preparation and workplace behavior
- Coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification where applicable
- Match graduates with job or self-employment opportunities
- Guide apprentices on business startup and link them with financial and support services
- Support development of business plans, basic financial literacy and management skills
- Build partnerships with local employers and industries and organize recruitment events
- Organize job fairs and on-site interviews
- Track and monitor placements, maintain database and follow up on job status and satisfaction
- Work with MCPs, POs, local government and other stakeholders to create a supportive employment ecosystem
- Prepare regular progress reports and document success stories
- Support outreach, mobilization, inclusion and safeguarding activities for marginalized groups
- Undertake other project-related responsibilities as assigned

SKS Foundation invites applications for the position of Employment Support Officer for the RAISE project. This is a project-based job opportunity with SKS Foundation, a reputed national NGO in Bangladesh. As part of a team delivering the Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) initiative (with PKSF and World Bank support), this position contributes directly to inclusive economic recovery and youth employment in Bangladesh.Key responsibilities (summary):Deliver career preparation and individual/group career counselling; sessions on CV writing, interview preparation, and workplace behavior.Provide employment and entrepreneurship support — match graduates to job and self-employment opportunities and guide business startup, financial literacy, and basic business management.Coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification where applicable.Build and maintain partnerships with local employers and industry; organize recruitment events, job fairs, and on-site interviews.Track and monitor placements — record job outcomes, follow-up on job status and satisfaction, and maintain an updated placement database.Work closely with MCPs, POs, local government and other stakeholders to create a supportive employment ecosystem.Prepare progress reports, document success stories, and contribute to tracer studies and labor market assessments.Support outreach, mobilization and inclusion efforts, particularly for marginalized groups (women, PWDs, ethnic minorities).Undertake any other project-related tasks assigned by management.Required skills and experience:Minimum 7 years of full-time professional experience in the development sector (relevant NGO experience required).At least 3 years of direct experience in skills development/TVET management, employment support, training facilitation, career services or apprenticeship/work-based learning programs.Strong stakeholder engagement and employer liaison skills; experience working with BTEB, NSDA and private sector partners is a plus.Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla.Proficiency in MS Office and comfort with data recording, monitoring and reporting.Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the project area.Education: Bachelor/Master level degrees as listed in the circular (e.g., BSc in CSE/EEE/Mechanical, MBA in Management, MA in Development Studies or equivalent).Compensation & benefits: Monthly consolidated salary BDT 47,700.
