Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to developing detailed implementation plans (DIP) and support budgeting for livelihood interventions.
  • Ensure timely execution of livelihood activities, track progress against targets and ensure donor compliance.
  • Provide capacity building and on-the-job coaching to field teams, CBOs, local facilitators and volunteers.
  • Support community engagement activities: dialogues, awareness sessions, and disaster preparedness events.
  • Support MEAL activities: develop MEAL plan, conduct field visits, collect beneficiary feedback and document lessons learned.
  • Support procurement planning, budget monitoring, and ensure financial compliance with donor policies.
  • Coordinate with sector structures, government actors, private sector and local markets to enhance livelihood opportunities.
  • Support timely narrative and financial reporting as per donor and organizational requirements.

Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) invites qualified candidates to apply for an engaging and impactful job opportunity as a Livelihood & DRR Officer. This circular seeks a committed professional to join a project that follows an HDP (Humanitarian, Development, Peace) Nexus approach in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The position is ideal for candidates with strong experience in livelihood programming, disaster risk reduction (DRR), community-based organization (CBO) capacity development, and an understanding of humanitarian and development contexts in Bangladesh.This job calls for a hands-on officer who will work closely with FIVDB’s technical specialist, the Project Coordinator, and field teams to ensure high-quality, gender-responsive program delivery.
