Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and control logistics and procurement activities of the project following NGO Forum procurement policies.
  • Implement day-to-day procurement and logistic support accountable to procurement procedures.
  • Maintain stock register and prepare requisitions when materials fall below threshold.
  • Prepare invitations to quote, comparative statements (CS), bill summaries and supporting documents with bills and vouchers.
  • Ensure timely procurement, purchasing and dispatching of required project materials.
  • Ensure VAT and tax compliance and proper office administration documentation.
  • Use online procurement systems and maintain accurate records in Tally ERP9, Tally Prime, or ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and project teams to ensure timely delivery to field locations (Teknaf, Ukhia).

Job Description

NGO Forum for Public Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement Associate to manage procurement and logistics for humanitarian and development projects. The company encourages diverse candidates to apply and emphasizes safeguarding, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism checks as part of the recruitment process.Key responsibilitiesManage and control logistics and procurement activities for the project in line with NGO Forum procurement policies and procedures.Provide day-to-day procurement and logistics support for project implementation, ensuring goods and services are procured on time.Maintain and update the stock register; prepare requisitions when inventory falls below threshold levels.Prepare and manage invitation of quotations, comparative statements (CS), bill summaries, and supporting documentation (bills, vouchers).Coordinate purchasing and dispatch of materials required by the project, including timely delivery to field sites (Teknaf, Ukhia).Ensure procurement transactions comply with VAT, tax, and office administration rules across diverse organizational contexts.Support online procurement systems and maintain accurate records in Tally ERP9, Tally Prime, or other ERP platforms.Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement issues and optimize procurement processes.Assist in contract management and vendor performance monitoring as needed.Required skills & qualificationsMaster of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (Masters / MBA / MBS).Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (3–5 years preferred) in NGOs or development agencies handling procurement and logistics.Proficiency in online procurement systems and strong familiarity with Tally ERP9, Tally Prime, or other ERP systems.Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good documentation practices.Knowledge of VAT, tax compliance and office administration.Good communication skills in English and Bangla.
