Job Responsibilities

  • Direct implementation, supervision, monitoring and quality assurance of materials and construction works.
  • Inspect facilities daily and prepare detailed fixing and maintenance plans.
  • Check construction materials quality and escalate issues to supervisor.
  • Initiate PRs for works and ensure pricing aligns with market rates.
  • Monitor contractors' work, recommend modifications and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare daily reports and communicate updates to the Cox's Bazar team and supervisors.
  • Coordinate with camp coordinators, CiC, sector partners and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and safeguard project documents and records.
  • Participate in site selection for facilities construction and provide technical input.
  • Facilitate smooth information flow via zone coordinators and branch support staff.
  • Work collaboratively with partner staff for coordination and implementation matters.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and follow safeguarding reporting procedures.

Job Description

BRAC is hiring a Junior Project Engineer for a WASH implementation role under the HCMP program in Cox's Bazar. This is a field-focused job opportunity with a well-known company working in humanitarian and development contexts in Bangladesh. Candidates will be responsible for on-site construction supervision, materials quality assurance, coordination with contractors and partners, and routine reporting.
