Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies aligned with project and organizational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze policy developments at national and local levels affecting labor and climate in the RMG sector.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, civil society, trade unions, media, suppliers and brands.
  • Coordinate advocacy campaigns, events, dialogues and public engagement activities.
  • Draft policy briefs, position papers, advocacy materials and media content.
  • Support capacity building of staff, partners and workers on advocacy and influencing skills.
  • Document success stories, case studies and advocacy outcomes and prepare timely reports for management and donors.
  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, coalitions and alliances.
  • Engage with stakeholders to influence change on labor rights, decent work and climate justice.
  • Support proposal development by providing programmatic inputs and lessons learned.

The Bangladesh Center for Workers Solidarity (BCWS) is hiring an experienced Advocacy Officer to lead labor rights and climate-related advocacy within the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector.
