Job Responsibilities
- Mobilize the community, facilitation of beneficiary selection and validation
- Capacity building of beneficiaries and delivering trainings (including Homestead Gardening)
- Input distribution / asset transfer planning and recording
- Organize, facilitate and co-facilitate training, group meetings and workshops
- Maintain liaison and coordination with local authorities and stakeholders
- Represent the project and Cordaid in external meetings and events
- Organize and assist events observing key international days
- Identify and locate internal and external resources and services for participants
- Maintain code of conduct, donor and organizational integrity policies, and follow safety/security policies
- Prepare and submit plans and weekly/monthly reports; maintain risk register and respond to donor feedback
- Problem identification in the field and support groups to solve problems
- Collect and report data using mobile data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, CommCare) and WFP MoDA

Job Description
Cordaid, an established humanitarian company operating in Bangladesh, invites experienced and motivated candidates to apply for the role of Community Mobilizer. This job circular is aimed at professionals who have worked in humanitarian settings, preferably in Rohingya camps, and who can mobilize communities, support beneficiary selection, deliver trainings, and manage asset/input distribution. The position will support project activities in Ukhia, Cox's Bazar, and requires a hands-on approach with strong community engagement skills. Why this job is important: The Community Mobilizer will work closely with beneficiaries and local stakeholders to ensure that project activities are delivered effectively, transparently, and safely. As part of Cordaid’s team in Bangladesh, the role contributes directly to resilience-building, protection-sensitive programming, and improved livelihoods for vulnerable communities. Key responsibilities (summary): Mobilize the community and lead beneficiary selection and validation processes. Deliver capacity building, trainings (including Homestead Gardening), mentoring and coaching for beneficiaries. Facilitate input distribution / asset transfer planning and record keeping. Maintain liaison and coordination with local authorities, stakeholders and partner organizations. Represent the project and Cordaid at external meetings and events, and organize events for key international days. Provide compliance monitoring and reporting (weekly/monthly plans and reports), maintain risk registers, and ensure adherence to organisational and donor integrity and safety/security policies. Collect and report data using mobile data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, CommCare) and familiar platforms like WFP MoDA. Identify field problems and support beneficiary groups in problem solving. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Officer. Required skills and qualifications: Diploma in Agriculture OR Diploma/Graduation in any discipline (as indicated in the circular). Minimum 3 years’ work experience, with required experience in NGO contexts. Prior experience in Rohingya camps and emergency response projects is required. Strong communication skills, good listening skills, good verbal and written Bengali, and ability to speak the local Chittagong language. Experience in community mobilization, needs assessment, beneficiary selection, input distribution and training delivery. Skilled in mobile data collection tools (Kobo, ODK, CommCare) and familiar with WFP MoDA platform; able to maintain electronic devices and perform daily data reporting. Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, punctuality, time management and relationship-building abilities. Understanding of protection issues facing beneficiaries is essential.
