Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with MHPSS Officer, M&E & Documentation Coordinator and project management
- Support district-level finance and accounts including procurement, bills & vouchers, VAT & tax
- Support accounts and admin in financial and logistics management
- Liaise with other Upazila Coordinators and maintain team approach
- Coordinate & network with government representatives, elected bodies, parents, teachers, CSOs and youth groups
- Regular field visits according to activity plan; supervise and guide Community Facilitators and team members
- Strengthen capacity of local actors on climate change and guide Sports Coaches and youth groups
- Organize trainings, mentoring sessions and sports events; facilitate distribution of sports materials
- Conduct advocacy workshops, stakeholder meetings and promote participation of girls and boys
- Ensure quality of process and learning documentation; assist Project Manager in reporting
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and information sharing protocols
- Be ready to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations as required

Job Description
Breaking the Silence (BTS) invites experienced development professionals to apply for an impactful job opportunity as an Upzila Coordinator for the Sports for Protection, Resilience and Transformation (SPiRiT) project under the Climate Action at Local Level (CALL) consortium. This circular is open to motivated candidates who are committed to child protection, community engagement, climate-informed youth initiatives and sport-based psychosocial support. The post is based in Kaliganj Upazila, Satkhira district, Bangladesh. Interested applicants should read the full circular and apply through the online link provided.The Upzila Coordinator will be a key member of a project team working with children, adolescents, youth groups, local institutions and civil society to deliver sport-for-protection activities, capacity strengthening and community mobilization. This job requires coordination, financial awareness, monitoring and evaluation support, and direct interaction with stakeholders at the upazila and community levels. The position begins with a three-month probation and may be extended based on performance and project funding.Key responsibilitiesCoordinate and communicate regularly with project staff including the MHPSS Officer, M&E and Documentation Coordinator and project management.Support district-level finance and accounts by understanding financial procedures including procurement, bills & vouchers, VAT and tax compliance.Support accounts and admin for logistics and financial management and ensure compliance with organizational systems.Maintain liaison with other Upazila Coordinators and local stakeholders — government representatives, elected bodies, CSOs, sports organizations, teachers, parents, adolescent and youth groups.Supervise Community Facilitators and other field staff; guide planning, implementation and review of project activities ensuring technical standards and good practices.Strengthen capacity of local actors on climate change and climate-led initiatives through trainings and mentoring.Guide Sports Coaches and support youth-led initiatives, organize sports events, distribute sports materials and create safe playing opportunities.Conduct community awareness sessions, advocacy workshops and stakeholder meetings to establish referral pathways and promote girls' participation in sport.Work closely with MEAL/M&E teams to implement monitoring, evaluation and learning systems and contribute timely inputs for donor reporting.Ensure confidentiality, ethical handling of data and adherence to information sharing and data protection principles.Required qualifications & experienceMaster's Degree in Social Science or other relevant discipline. Educational qualifications may be relaxed for highly experienced applicants.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in program management within NGOs or related organizations, preferably in community development, child protection or youth programming.Experience working with program teams, government actors, community groups and youth-led initiatives.
