Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documents for exports and imports.
- Maintain communication with buyers, suppliers, forwarders, shipping lines, and banks for timely documentation and operations.
- Manage export/import activities including customs approval, Bond procedures, and applications to EPB and BGMEA.
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) related works, negotiate with banks on exchange rates, and manage collection of export proceeds certificates.
- Ensure online shipment booking and timely clearing and forwarding of goods.
- Source suppliers, review supplier documents, and manage communications with buyers and buying houses.
- Collect, sort and analyze information related to business laws, market trends, and industry developments in Bangladesh.
- Assist in identifying and tracking potential commercial risks and resolving commercial disputes.
- Maintain files and records for deliveries and shipped items and provide updates to management.
- Support senior management with commercial-related administrative tasks.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (3 to 5 years preferred) in tannery/footwear or similar manufacturing/export industry. Skills & competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT & tax regulations applicable to export/import in Bangladesh. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
