Job Responsibilities
- Assist Project Coordinator to prepare and develop program implementation plan.
- Lead Field Facilitators to implement the project according to project design.
- Monitor project progress with approximately 80% field time and provide supportive supervision to subordinate staff.
- Organize training, orientation, meetings, workshops, seminars, public hearings and dialogues with policy makers.
- Develop capacity of team members and community groups for effective implementation.
- Support formation and strengthening of forums/groups at Union and Upazila level to influence duty bearers.
- Create community awareness to reduce gender-based violence and ensure inclusiveness.
- Develop capacity of climate action groups to engage with duty bearers.
- Maintain liaison with LGIs, government departments, UNO, NGOs, financial institutions and employers.
- Develop IEC materials, training modules, session plans, leaflets, brochures, posters and audio-visual documents.
- Orient UPs to exercise Social Accountability Tools/RTI and prepare different SA tools and Citizen Charters.
- Collect good practices, case stories, lessons learned and success stories.
- Provide data and inputs to Project Coordinator for reports and donor submissions.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by the project.
- Facilitate project progress for visits by internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly work plans and submit within anticipated time.
Required Skills
- Motorcycle driving with valid driving license
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (high level)
- Familiarity with graphical software and internet communication
- SPSS (preferred)
- Facilitation, training and coaching skills
- Report writing and oral communication in English and Bengali

Job Description
Nazrul Smriti Sangsad (NSS) invites applications for an experienced Project Officer to lead implementation of the CREA project in Patharghata Upazila, Barguna District. The Project Officer will provide day-to-day oversight of project activities, closely supervise Field Facilitators, support the Project Coordinator, and ensure timely achievement of project objectives. Key responsibilities (summary): Assist the Project Coordinator to develop program implementation plans and schedules. Maintain liaison with Local Government Institutions (LGIs), line departments, UNO, other NGOs and stakeholders. Ensure cultural and literacy-appropriate materials and facilitate visits by internal and external stakeholders. Required education & experience: Master’s degree in Social Science (MSS), Gender and Development Studies, Environment Science (MSc) or Disaster Management (MSc), or related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in project implementation and management in the development sector with strong knowledge of environment protection and good governance. Essential skills and attributes: Skilled motorcycle driver with a valid driving license (must). High level of IT skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with graphical tools and internet communication. Knowledge of SPSS is an advantage. Excellent facilitation and training skills, strong report writing and oral communication in English and Bengali. Knowledge on RTI, UP Operational Manual, Social Accountability, Advocacy, Women’s Empowerment, Environment & Climate Change and inclusiveness. Proven liaison and networking experience with government and NGOs, team building and problem-solving skills, commitment and dedication to ethical conduct.
