Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of all agriculture-related components of the project.
  • Conduct surveys to select rightsholders according to project guidelines.
  • Formation and functioning of self-help groups and farmer field schools.
  • Organize and facilitate field-level training for rightsholders.
  • Conduct capacity assessments and prepare training/development plans.
  • Provide input support and on-field technical solutions to rightsholders.
  • Share new agricultural (crop, livestock, fisheries) technologies with rightsholders.
  • Documentation, reporting, monitoring and supervision of field activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of income-generating activities and develop market linkages.
  • Assist project team to provide technical support on agriculture-related activities.
  • Collect and analyze contextual information for livelihoods, develop household business plans.
  • Prepare service maps of the camp/project area.
  • Establish networks with government agriculture/livestock departments and other service providers.
  • Strengthen community groups and organize knowledge-sharing and technology transfer sessions.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, collect case stories and visual documentation.
  • Develop materials and training modules for aquaculture, agriculture, poultry, and goat rearing.
  • Participate in seasonal programs and ensure staff and participant security; uphold child protection and PSEA policies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Islamic Relief Bangladesh is recruiting a dedicated and experienced Field Facilitator for Agriculture to join its Humanitarian Crisis Response Programme.
