Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group Psychosocial Support (PSS) to GBV survivors and gender-diverse individuals to cope with trauma, stress and daily challenges.
- Identify and assess cases needing specialized support and make appropriate referrals to health, GBV, and MHPSS services.
- Maintain confidentiality, dignity, and safety in all interactions and ensure compliance with Do No Harm and safeguarding principles.
- Conduct awareness sessions on mental health, stress management, GBV, and coping strategies.
- Facilitate peer-support groups, life skills sessions, recreational activities and PSS therapy sessions for wellbeing.
- Support capacity-building of centre facilitators, social mobilizers, community volunteers and women leaders/community structures.
- Engage community leaders, influencers, and families to reduce stigma around mental health and psychosocial issues.
- Conduct community visits to identify vulnerable individuals and follow up on referrals.
- Coordinate with GBV, Protection, Health, and MHPSS actors for comprehensive service delivery and participate in camp-level coordination meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, cases, and referrals; prepare regular reports and ensure data protection.
