Job Responsibilities
- Perform Complete Blood Count (CBC), Bleeding Time (BT), Clotting Time (CT).
- Conduct Routine Urine Examination (RME) and Routine Stool Examination (RME).
- Carry out Gram Staining and Acid-Fast Bacilli (AFB) examination on sputum.
- Perform blood grouping and Rh typing, Random Blood Sugar (RBS), HBsAg and Anti-HCV tests.
- Provide diagnostic reports and manage stock inventory.
- Conduct specimen testing as per SOP and ensure on-time delivery of reports.
- Maintain equipment and reagents; ensure proper storage and calibration.
- Record and store laboratory data and compile activity reports for submission.
- Maintain health and safety regulations including infection prevention and waste disposal practices.
- Indent for lab-ware and consumables and manage inventory levels.
- Follow MCP, TIAHRT and Helms policy and maintain compliance.

This job circular is aimed at expanding technical capacity for diagnostic services and supporting government health projects in Dhaka and other regions of Bangladesh.Role overview: The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting a range of routine and urgent laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment and reagents, ensuring infection prevention and waste disposal practices, maintaining accurate records, and delivering timely diagnostic reports.
